Toronto and the GTA have many wedding venues on Lake Ontario that provide a holiday feel to a wedding celebration, as well as a magnificent backdrop for photos.

Destination weddings have become a popular choice for many couples. In fact, wedding industry market research company, The Wedding Report notes that destination weddings are one of the most popular trends for 2009. The drawback to destination weddings is many guests will not be able to afford the cost of travel to the wedding and will end up bowing out of attending the big day.

By selecting a wedding venue on Lake Ontario that provides a vacation ambiance, brides and grooms in Toronto and the GTA can ensure guests will attend their wedding. A wedding by the lake does not have to be a casual affair. The following venues offer diverse options that can suggest a day of sophistication or relaxed comfort.
